Yes.I did see that advertisement. It is an eye opener to many students who take English language for granted. You do not understand the need to learn English until you encounter such embarrassing moment.

it means we must go straight and , dont belok-belok when we go to national monument. that all the message in the commercial that i can understand-ame from section 27(biotech)
they want to show that people nowadays always think lightly about english. they always humiliate other person who want to speak in english and who tried to improve their english. the commercial proved that english is important and there are many wasys to improve our knowledge either in language or in communication skills.

i think that advertisement is a simple campaign to promote english language uses.
although there was a simple one, it can alert all people about the important of english.

The advertisement is really gives a lot of good impact to all the malaysian about the importance of english. Even it looks a little bit funny, it is still shows us how importance english in any kind of manner. English must be learnt to all of us as it is an international language.
The English language is very important for us nowadays. As the student, we should used the English languages in every time, not only in English lesson or when ask to do so.

I agree with Chitra. Malaysian students especially Malays have not fully understand the importance of English Language. The advertisement really shows that some of us does not take English Language seriously and that should be changed.

i have seen the advertisement on tv last week. It shows the reality that most of the malaysians still have to put more efforts to learn and try to speak english.

i did saw it for a several time before my tv broken down..many people claim that learn english just to show off or something else..but to me it is important for us in every way of our life..such as,working,meeting, or even watching..because now,some tv didn't put subtitle....

The first time i saw the commercial, i couldn't understands it because as usual when it's commercial time, i tend to do other things while waiting for the movie to start again.
For me it was an eye-opener, because learning English would widen your thought. You can read a lot of books and connect with other people with different mother language...
The first time i was happy to learn English language, when a was able to understand a joke my dad made...

I also saw that advertisement several times already. Its really a good lesson for the Malaysian who don't care more about the international language till they encounter with the real situation, but that's already too late and what they get is only EMBARRASMENT! AND FOREIGNERS BURST IN LAUGHTER!

This advertisement serves as a good reminder to all Malaysian,young or old,male or female,big or small,bad or kind about the importance of learning English.You might think that it's useless to you now but who knows,an incident similar to the one in the advertisement might happen to you.
i believe that every single thing happens for a reason. the same goes to the advertisement especially as it is nationally aired. it proves that a number of us Malaysians are still unaware about the vitality of practicing proper English in our routine, thus embarrassing oneself. and this is an alternative made to help the people, so thanks all.

this commercial shows the weakness of our student in English.some student think English is just a language, without realize the uses of it..until one day they realize how poor are they in English even for showing direction..so..let's improve our English..
I think nowadays student did not alert the important of speaking in English. So, one of the way to improve our English is reading newspaper.
english has been compulsory for us wherever we are as it is international language. therefore learn and practice english in our life in order to compete with others.

i think that the msg that want to convey is english is an international language. people has to know english as well as their hometown language.. it's really shame when a foreigner ask and we reply back by manglish..
why do we have to speak their language when we are in our country??? it is vital for students to improve their international language (English),but somehow,our malay language is important too which we have to make it a prior in our own place...when we go travelling,we learn the other nations languages instead of asking their help using our language...as for me,english is vital for learning,but we shall make prior of our own mother-tongue language...
ya.. like majority said.. its like an eye opener to those who are thinking that there is nothing with english.Actually in my experience english is much - much more important mostly when we are attending the interview for scholarships or for a job.

About this coomercial. I think it tell us about how worst our english speaking among each other. The worst part is, the student trying to speak english with the english tourist. How shame if the tourist tell tir friend that Malaysian people cannot communicate with tourist fluently. Especially students, because student is the one who learn english in school. Even though they cannot speak english with perfect grammar, but at least they must know how to speak english fluently.
